Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information Thurston Roofing Services Limited collects through this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Thurston Roofing Services Limited is a family-run roofing company covering Nottingham and the NG postcode area, and is the data controller for any personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 16729751, with our registered office at H1 Ash Tree Court, Mellors Way, Nottingham Business Park, Nottingham NG8 6PY. You can contact us about anything in this policy on 07565 108872 or at thurstonroofing@outlook.com.

What we collect and why

When you use the callback form, we collect your name, phone number, postcode, the service you're interested in, and anything you write in the message box, along with your email address if you provide it. We use these details for one purpose: to contact you about your enquiry and, if you'd like one, to arrange a visit and provide a quote. Our lawful basis for this is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who ask us to get in touch.

We don't add you to mailing lists, we don't send marketing, and we never sell or share your details with third parties for their own use. If you phone or email us directly, we hold that correspondence for the same purpose: dealing with your enquiry and any work that follows.

Where your information is stored

Enquiry details submitted through the website are stored in our content management system (Sanity) and pass through our website hosting provider (Vercel). Both act only on our instructions as data processors. Their infrastructure may process data outside the UK; where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards in their standard data processing agreements.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer, records relating to your job, quote, and invoice are kept for up to six years to meet our legal and tax obligations and to honour our 10-year workmanship guarantee, for which we keep a basic record of the work for the guarantee period. If you enquire and we don't end up working together, we delete your details within 12 months.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking tools. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, call or email us using the details above and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles personal information, we'll update this page. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
